The fun began on Friday, July 1st, 1995. Eating is always an important part of our stay at the cabin. Gourmet delights are cooked in the dutch oven on Uncle Robert’s new camp chef. The first meal was chicken enchiladas, green salad, Spanish rice, and 100 year old gingerbread cake and whipped cream.
Our hike destination this year was to Deer Trap Mountains, a nine mile hike. This particular year was wet and wild flowers were plentiful. Aunt Nellie plucked flowers of every variety and dried and pressed them into a book. The view from Deertrap was breathtaking. We could look down into Zion Canyon and see the Lodge.
Scrapbooks were our craft of choice. The cabin book was updated on this visit.
Aunt B cooked a creative meal of cranberry sauce over chicken + rice, greenbeans, poppyseed cake. Hamburger fest was our last meal cooked by Uncle Ro + Aunt Nellie. We were serenaded by our guitar uncles and Uncle Jim knew all the words to the songs.
We all got tired of watching Joshua and Julie kiss and hoped they would get married soon.
