Closing the Cabin up after a Covid-19 Year

Even though the Covid pandemic gave us some troubles, the cabin was still well-used this year. It was a great place to social distance. Thanks everyone for keeping it a great place to hide out.

Cabin Fun 2019

This was a year to complete a few needed projects. We had lots of help too! It was nice to get a new coat of paint on the main cabin. We added a new log swing and a couple of log benches for the back yard to make things a little more inviting while studying the sunrise and sunset. By the way, the swing gets the first warm rays of the day and also gets the best phone reception. We also made some new old-fashioned wood screen doors for the Main cabin and the kids cabin. Good work everybody.

The cabin, the flag, the sunset–the real meaning of freedom!

These dried up old cactus by the honeymoon cabin were re-invigorated by all the rain and produced these beautiful flowers.

The Glenn Boys Add a Cabin Bulletin Board

Patrick Glenn made this bulletin board for our cabin.

James Glenn and his sons use our cabin periodically as a command post for their outdoor adventures. Each time they leave their mark with an act of service or creative project. They made us a beautiful bulletin board this time with our cabin logo designed by Jim Lee. This year they did Birch Hollow and ran Dianna’s Throne slot canyon.

Braids of Time – A cabin Tradition

Girls camp and the cabin always seem to be places for braids. Maybe just having a lot of girls in one place with time on their hands, I don’t know. Anyway, Grandma Rogers would be pleased with all the braids that lined up in 2018 for a picture. We thought you’d like to see a similar photo taken clear back in 1980.
